SOIL MATERIALS AND BENEFITS
Peat: An organic soil conditioner. It has high water retention capacity and increases aeration. It contains no nutrients, so when mixed with Coco Coir, Perlite, and Pumice, it provides an ideal growing medium.
Coco Coir: 100% organic coconut peat. Accelerates root development, increases resistance to root diseases, and protects against sudden temperature changes. Provides ideal air and water balance and has high water retention capacity.
Perlite: Loosens soil, increases drainage, and provides aeration. It has high water retention capacity and accelerates rooting in cuttings. Its inorganic structure prevents it from carrying weed seeds or diseases.
Lava Rock (Volcanic Tuff): Creates air and water channels for healthy root development. Retains moisture, insulates roots from heat and cold. Rich in minerals, it promotes the multiplication of microorganisms.
Silt Sand: Used to increase drainage and ensure rapid water runoff. An indispensable additive for cacti and succulents.
HOW TO USE FOR WHICH PLANTS?
Cacti and Succulents (Aloe vera, Echeveria, Haworthia, Sedum, Crassula, Gymnocalycium, Mammillaria, Astrophytum): A mix primarily composed of pumice, perlite, and silt sand is preferred. It ensures quick drainage of excess water.
Tropical Plants (Monstera deliciosa, Monstera adansonii, Epipremnum aureum – Pothos, Philodendron scandens, Philodendron hederaceum, Scindapsus pictus, Syngonium, Calathea, Maranta, Fittonia, Anthurium, Alocasia, Dieffenbachia, Ficus elastica, Ficus lyrata): Coco coir and peat are used as main materials, with perlite and lava rock added to ensure root aeration.
Flowering Plants (Orchid, Peace Lily, Begonia, African Violet, Hydrangea, Gardenia, Geranium, Petunia): A mix primarily composed of coco coir and perlite is preferred. For orchids, coarser perlite and lava rock can be used more intensely.
Green Plants and Houseplants (ZZ Plant, Sansevieria – Snake Plant, Spathiphyllum – Peace Lily, Chlorophytum – Spider Plant, Hedera Helix – Ivy, Hoya, Ceropegia – String of Hearts, Senecio – String of Pearls, Dischidia, Peperomia): A balanced mix is prepared with a trio of coco coir, peat, and perlite; lava rock can be added to the bottom layer for drainage.
Vegetables and Fruits (Tomato, Pepper, Eggplant, Lettuce, Parsley, Mint, Strawberry, Lemon, Citrus): Peat and coco coir are used for seed germination. The mix is enriched with perlite and lava rock for seedling development.
HOW TO USE?
Mix the materials according to the measurements on the formula card. Add lava rock or silt sand to the bottom of the pot for drainage. Prepare the main mix with peat and coco coir, add perlite for aeration. By adjusting the ratios according to the plant type, you can ensure strong and long-lasting development.
